Gen. 2 (2004-2009) Toyota Prius
Luckily Gen. 2 (2004-2009) Prius owners have more affordable options when their HV batteries have failed. Lower mileage Gen. 2 packs can be repaired in many instances if the diagnosis is promising and the proper balancing and charging equipment is used. We have the latest equipment at our facilities to get the job done properly and can rebuild, condition, and balance battery packs to a more-than-sufficient operating condition. *PLEASE NOTE* Merely swapping a bad battery module or two with one purchased from an anonymous source is NOT the way to rebuild a HV battery and will only cause more problems and cost you more money down the road. With over years of experience, we are familiar with the various techniques required to rebuild and balance HV batteries properly, and we stand behind our batteries with substantial warranties.
Rebuilding High Voltage batteries is a time consuming and laborious process so Priuskings offers a variety of pre-built HV battery packs for sale. We can have a HV battery rebuilt and ready for installation within 24-48 hrs after a customer has placed an order. We have numerous Gen. 2 HV battery packs as well as Gen. 2 battery packs outfitted with Gen. 3 battery modules. Please let us know what your needs and expectations are, and we will point you in the right direction to help find a battery that will best suit your needs.

Gen. 1 (2001-2003) Toyota Prius
Unfortunately in 2017 Gen. 1 (2001-2003) Toyota Prius HV batteries and the 38 Nimh (Nickel-Metal Hydride) modules inside them are reaching the end of their life expectancy. Although there are still many Gen. 1 Priuses on the road, we are seeing an increasing amount of Gen. 1’s needing a HV battery replacement. We’ve found the best way to rebuild these packs and offer warranties is to perform a complete rebuild with second generation (2004-2009) Prius battery modules. Unfortunately, this is not cost effective since the rebuild can cost almost as much as the car’s value. If your Gen 1 Prius is in excellent condition with very low miles, the Gen. 2 rebuild may be a viable option. There may still be affordable repair or replacement options for Gen. 1 Priuses, depending on the battery and vehicle’s condition. With our diagnostic equipment and battery analyzers, we can determine your Gen. 1 HV battery’s health and advise you accordingly.
